Why is Ra's even on a Green Arrow show?

Why not? He's the right kind of power level, and there's not some Batman show around that he should be on.

Plus borrowing heavily from Batman is kinda how Green Arrow got started in the first place.

Yeah, I've been having them on for the same reason. I could chuck Netflix on but it's fun seeing the making-of stuff afterwards.

Also I never get tired of the fact they set an episode in 2012, which is now considerably in the past.

(What's wrong with setting an episode in the near future, it's not like all the other stuff in the Doctor Who background happened either)

There's nothing wrong with it, I just found it funny. It doesn't help that the episode does nothing with the near-future concept, since it could easily be set in 2005, 1986 or 2016 without changing a thing.

It honestly would still be pretty decent if they had just cut before he gets cartoonishly blasted off into the sunset. A lot of series 9's issues could be fixed with tighter editing.

For instance, editing out the Zygon episodes.

I think the plot has some serious issues outside of the found footage gimmick, and removing it would probably just highlight them.

It's a great show overall, it just has a few issues here and there.

Unless you mean "bad" in terms of kid-friendliness, in which case it's easily the most adult thing in the MCU.
