Rutgers went 3-5 in conference in the AAC then joined the B1G and went 3-5 as well. I'd say the conferences are about even difficulty wise.

Even after your explanations I'm still kind of confused about why everyone is mad at Tulsa. They have a solid overall athletic department and pretty decent academic standing.
