If I’m recalling what some other goon reported, it was a homemade smoke-bomb stuff. Which was a fine powder and had coal dust as a component?

Regardless the biggest surprise for me is he’s about 40 and still hasn’t outgrown being in his early 20s.

Given the video evidence, I'm mostly impressed he lived beyond his early 20s.

I can't believe people are talking about the F-89 Scorpion without bringing up the only time it ever saw combat: the Battle of Palmdale.

A rogue target drone flew off toward the town, so they scrambled two F-89s to shoot it down with their Mighty Mouse anti-air rocket pods. They fired 208 rockets. Every single one missed the drone and it crashed into some power lines along an unpaved desert road. The rockets...didn't.

That's a great story and I really wish the Wikipedia entry had the usual Belligerents/Strength/Result/etc sections.

Well, I guess I learned something new today. I'm used to seeing those "pedestrians, bicycles, etc.. prohibited" signs on every freeway on/off ramp here, but I never considered that outside of the city you might be able to ride a bike on the interstate.

I know this is a pointless derail, but I need to tell someone that it gets dumber than that. A while back Austin had a rule that bicycles were not allowed on the highway and they put up signs saying so. Then the rule either lapsed or got overturned, but they didn't want to spend the money to take down the signs. Because :downs:

Of course, you'd be absolutely insane to ride a bike on the highway anyway. But it's Texas, so that particular dumb thing is the least of our problems.
