Since the Republican Primary thread hasn't talked about the Republican Primary for a while I figured it might be a good time for a new thread just for discussing the question: Are Trump supporters racist?

What effect do you think removing illegal immigrants and keeping them out will have on the job market? Also, what should be a higher priority: the needs of the working class or multiculturalism?

Another question for the liberals to pull funny faces and make farting sounds with their armpits instead of answering: How do you think immigrants who went through the process to become a legal citizen feel about the plan to give amnesty to everyone who didn't?

Good. The route to citizenship is far to laboriously expensive and arduous for people who wish to become American citizens.

They're pretty much all racist, but racism isn't always the primary reason they support Trump. There are also a healthy contingents of people that support him because they're authoritarians and he's the biggest swinging dick on stage

Hey man how about we send you our 2% poorest and least educated people? Should be no problem right? You aren't allowed to deport them or restrict entrance btw NutritiousSnack posted:The problem is food prices would soar. No it wouldn't, wages are a very low percentage of the cost that goes into food prices.

T r a v i s posted:Why do you think this would happen? well heres my logic: lets say trump deports every single illegal immigrant. 11 million people leave the economy suddenly. as a result of the loss of labor supply wages in the service and agricultural go up. prices also go up. consumption is reduced significantly both from the increase in prices and the sudden exit of a bunch of people from the economy. this shrinks the economy and reduces wages in most other sectors of the economy. its not a cleat cut case because the increased wages and lessened tax burden would offset some of the loss of consumption, but i believe the result would be overall negative Brannock posted:Hey man how about we send you our 2% poorest and least educated people? You aren't allowed to deport them or restrict entrance btw as ive said before i got nothing agaisnt the us enforcing the border. but deporting every single illegal immigrant, some of which have been in the us for many years and have very little ties to mexico, would solve nothing, create a humanitarian crisis, and make basically everyone worse off babypolis has issued a correction as of 18:07 on Feb 15, 2016 |

the trump tutelage posted:You're right. It's preferable to let undocumented migrants work for criminally low wages. i think some form of amnesty for law abiding, longtime residents, combined with legal protections, and continued border enforcement, would be the best possible solution and result in a net gain for america

the trump tutelage posted:You're right. It's preferable to let undocumented migrants work for criminally low wages. Obviously that's a bad scenario, but I'm also not sure why a bunch of people paying illegals 2 bucks an hour or whatever would go "ya got me" and pay Americans 8 bucks an hour to do the same jobs or why Americans would suddenly be content to pick fruit for minimum wage if we spent tons of tax money finding and mass deporting illegals. It seems more likely that all the places they worked would just go out of business.

Wages usually make up less than 2 percent of the average industry's operating costs, including agriculture. The industrial corporate farms that the US has now can easily afford to pay a living wage and provide decent conditions. I think that illegal immigrants should be deported because I am a racist. Even though I'm a legal immigrant who donates my time to helping people from the developing world apply to immigrate to the United States legally, including from Africa and the Middle East.
