Apparently there is a crouch tech in SFV. Momochi's tutorial video mentions it and nerdjosh found it at E3. It's hard to do though since you basically plink the second button 2frames later

I'd also be pretty surprised if going from 8 gigs of ram to 16 made a difference in fights because this is a console port (although it doesn't have to support the XBONE's wrong kind of RAM, phew)

Viscant said he did the hard survival with Chun Li by abusing her v-skill crossup. It seems like the key is finding something the AI is not good at dealing with and just pressing that button over and over. Some people say that mashing a good sweep from max range and some luck is all you need. :shrug:

Man, i can tell when I'm making incremental progress on combos but I feel like I'm going nowhere with the instant air legs. The motion feels so spastic and imprecise that I don't think I'm repeating any one motion yet. I'll try 30 times and get 2-3 in a row from the left, nothing from the right.

How do I defeat flowchart ken (or Ryu) who throws a lot? I feel like he is the end boss of scrub tier matchmaking. Especially with someone like Chun who doesn't have a lot of gimmicks or a non-ex invincible reversal

I think I need to never miss my quick rises and get better at punishing blocked/whiffed dps and sweeps. It doesn't matter if they are throwing hadokens/shoryus/sweeps out like a maniac if I can't punish them for it. My mid range footsie game also gets discombobulated if they are decent at using fireballs as a midrange poke

This is working really well for me. Especially if I hit K a teeny bit later than my instinct. Still only like 50% but I can feel progress now.

I've also been practicing CC HK dash MP cr.MK xx HK LL to get a good whiffed reversal punish. Finding it hard as butt to link the mp after dash. Does the frame buffer stick around after a dash or does it disappear like when you walk?

e: ey it's getting easier the timing just seems a little off at first

You can change it in Options -> Sound Settings -> Character Voice languages. You can change it per character

Laura's and Birdie's japanese voices are pretty sweet for reals though. Especially Laura's intro voice thingy. I think the english women voices sound kind of assy and snarly all the time. It sounds like they are taking a poo poo

It would be cool if hitbox ranges and pushback were measured and collected along with the frame data for attacks. It'd be useful to know if you can punish/take initiative from something with jab or if they'll be out of range

Anki flashcard guy, you should at least grab the ranges from dantarion's data. I don't know if he has pushback data

With Chun how should I be punishing jump ins? I use st.lk which is pretty good for defense but does so little damage and I can't really take advantage of it. So a jump in is a low risk/high reward if I don't get the anti air out in time
