That Iron Man 2 stuff is interesting because it's the most clearly meddled film. Like there had to be someone high up who said "We can't make Tony Stark's dad a bad guy! He's Walt Disney for Christssake".

Equeen posted:The Ancient One could have been Indian or Middle Eastern. It still would be erasing a Tibetan character, but at least we could have had non-East Asian representation that we don't see very often in American media. Unfortunately, Ben Kingsley has already been in the MCU.

Electromax posted:People complained about Ep. VII not having as memorable music when leaving the theater last xmas, holding it up against scores they've memorized over 18,000 viewings and declaring John Williams had lost it because it wasn't catchy enough I guess. I mean just as one example the Wonder Woman theme is a lot more memorable than anything in TFA (or the rest of BvS outside of the Man of Steel references, to be fair).

Justin Godscock posted:The problem there was first Ant-Man got a sequel so the movie got pushed back THEN Disney green-lit Indiana Jones 5 something like a week before Inhumans was set for release. It got too crowded so Feige said they were putting it on the backburner for now. People thought it was cancelled (typical Internet nobodies not paying attention) when in reality Marvel is just trying to find a slot for it. They pretty much have to make it at this point because the Inhumans are very prominent in Agents of SHIELD and a big subplot right now is the Sokovia Accords raising hell on them in the show. You're talking about 3+ years from now. Even if people gave a poo poo about Agents of SHIELD there's no guarantee that show would even be on by the time it came out.
