Rapidly veering outside MMO territory, I know, but have you considered Dungeon Fighter Online? It scratches the same sort of MMO itch everything else being discussed here does while also letting me suplex minotaurs in a game made to make me remember how good Simpsons Arcade was

Yeah it took them a long time to beat Ultima for encounter music (as it stands on its own, ignoring syncing I mean--I've gushed about T13 enough), but Brute Justice's theme certainly did it
