Although I seem to remember that in Windows 9x you would get bluescreens for poo poo like removing a disk or CD that was in use and you could just hit escape to dismiss them

dunno if its been fixed yet, but a couple of years ago at work we discovered that its fairly easy to reliably cause bsods in tcpip.sys on windows 8. it was something like sending out a ping on a slow connection, and then closing the process before the reply came back. thats my favorite blue screen of death
