Every time I think of the Sentry I remember the big reveal that he was the first guy Rogue had ever slept with, because his powers meant hers didn't matter, or whatever . And Jenkins never quite seemed to grasp why that irritated folks.

I'm buddies with one of the co-writers on D-Hawk (as its fans call him). This is the second time he's gotten to use Death's Head, the second being in X-Men '92. Basically if Marvel gave him the chance to do a DH ongoing he'd doing (almost) for free.

Bagley is an incredible comic book artist, Spider-Man is his best character, and that was him at his prime, so that's no surprise.

I read the first couple issues of Nadia's last series, and it didn't grab me so I hope this one is better. In general because I like good comics and spitefully because it'll get up the right nostril of YouTube pundits who rail about enforced diversity.

The book got much better by the last couple of issues, ironically when it became more about Janet and her dealing with her ex-husband's daughter and her gaggle of child-prodigy friends. It's also the only time I recall the 'infamous' Hank Pym moment being explored from Jan's perspective, which was really interesting and well-done.

I keep forgetting just how much stuff I have access to thanks to Marvel Unlimited, so I tried it again after I dropped it and it does get a lot better.

Thanks to Marvel Unlimited which is truly my key to the banana plantation I have come around on Gwenpool. Admittedly the most I'd read of her before was appearances in other books like Champions and I don't know if other writers quite 'get' her.

They did not. Waid and Bendis' interpretation sucked. Too much hate for the audience, too little celebration of the medium. Don't know what it says when the new writer gets a character who is literally a comic fan from are world and writers her story as a celebration of the medium...and the old writers who have been writing comics for years and dealing with fans for years make her an rear end in a top hat.

At least in Champions it felt like Waid wanted to write the big 'chill out you're in an actual world with consequences' scene with Gwen and she already has that in her own book.

Thanks to MU, I've been catching up on the current X-books. It's a little gross how Guggenheim has Colossus Nice Guy his way back into Kitty's pants, and also that Kitty is suddenly super into it. Unrelated but irritating, Shadowcat is a fine codename. Just use it again. Although I guess it's either no codename or have a dumb like 'Prestige.'

To say something nice X-related, I'm kind of liking X-Men Bliue, although it was super weird Emma kept talking to teen Scott like he was adult Scott.

Mostly I feel bad for all of Emma's character growth over the last, what, twenty years got reversed hard.

I'm a huge Kelly Thompson fan and am dying for her to get an X-Book, which will hopefully be announced in July. Check out Rogue & Gambit when they're all on MU, though it still works monthly if you want to check out the first issue, which came out in January. The first issue features some set up at the mansion, and just uses supporting characters in such a wonderful way to convey the X-Men's shared history, familial companionship and incredible gossip tree that so many writers can't get across.

Cool. I'll check it out.

Oh man, that weird Tykeclops and Emma moment in the Secret Empire issues. Bleh. More recent Emma general direction spoilers: They're seemingly awkwardly pivoting her back to a less villainous/more grey position after the IvX mess, but it's unclear how things will shake out as you could argue that they've swerved hard from having her be a full Mega City One Judge helmeted villain to awkwardly trying to redeem her without making it *too* obvious a pivot.

Speaking of vaguely age-inappropriate, there's also this bit where teen Angel looks like he's going to try and start hitting on Sheriff Kira Lee. (If Kira Lee supposed to be somebody? I feel like I missed something with her.)

Also X-related, I am genuinely a little disappointed that a plot development that at the same time while being kinda dumb I also liked has been undone, being Jubilee as a vampire. I rather enjoyed Single Vampire Mom Jubilation Lee, at least in theory if not often in practice.
