Hello, someone disparaged the squid jump control scheme in Splatoon, saying they could just have ignored the second screen and used a combination of buttons to do the same. That's turbo nerd talk. If the casual console player would have the option to either use the screen or the buttons, they'd most likely just use the screen. See a Squid you want to jump to? Press it on the screen. That kind of simple and intuitive design was probably part of the reason why it became such a huge hit with a large variety of demographies. They don't want to suddenly learn Street Fighter combos just to do a simple long jump.

You're setting yourselves for a disappointment if you think Nintendo is going head to head with PS4 and XBone in terms of processing power. Nintendo went the cheap-skate route years ago.

I've played some good games on the Wii U, but to me Splatoon remains as the clear highlight. Hell, it's why I got the system in the first place. Other good games worth checking: Super Mario Maker, Hyrule Warriors, Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X. Also special mention for Project Zero 5 for being something that I plan to continue playing but always postpone it. As for disappointments, Mario Kart 8 is clearly that. Boogie apparently talked with two people from Ubisoft who got to use the NX, which from their accounts suggests the thing might really be a hybrid console that you can take with you to play. Although if I understood correctly, not in the level of having a Wii U in your pocket. Here's the part in Boogie's Q & A session.
