Mindphlux has some very strong opinions about what appliances strangers have in their kitchens. I use my crockpot for two things, really with any regularity. 1. Chilis/shredded beef. Don't you bring that weak-rear end Hormel poo poo in here. 2. Overnight oatmeal sometimes in the winter when I want hot breakfast before work. I used to make pulled pork in it but now I have a smoker so gently caress that bland poo poo. I've heard they make decent rice cookers, but never succeeded in that. Don't hate on crockpots totally, though. Everything has its place and a use.
