Blood Money is the culmination of the first four games. Absolution is a decent stealth-action game, especially considering it's been in Humble Bundles and at once point you could get a Steam code for $1 as part of a charity fundraiser, but only a few levels are classic sandboxes. I haven't played the new one but by all reports it's going to be amazing when it's actually finished.

I wouldn't call it better but I do like it a lot. I hope they add more death animations for humans. Chopping a guys head off was really cool the first time, then it quickly lost its magic when I found out that happened after every kill even when you use the hammer. At least you can easily tell the difference between a dead enemy and one with a tiny sliver of health.

hitman 2 has some of the best levels in the series but it also has the snowy japanese levels which were trash. contracts had some good remakes of hitman 1 levels. blood money is consistently good and probably the best. all i remember of absolution was the polycount logo graffiti. i haven't played the new episodic one yet
