Oh my god I am so excited for this game. I played the beta and immediately fell in love, I love how team ninja handles their combat and combos.

Great news for me! I used mid and high stance mostly for utility and power so ki pulse on dodge makes them even better!

Chaining pulse quickdraws, even without the instant sheath on pulse skill, feels soooo good. Love throwing a quickdraw into my combos.

Single katana is my jam, I love the parries, tempest, and perfec block so much. It feels good to be a slow moving samurai and letting enemies come to you only to parry, perfect block and ki break your way to victory.

Katana/spear with magic for me. So much utility and counters with those two weapons. I hope to see more human enemy density like in the beta. I honestly think fighting the human enemies is more fun than yokai with all the moves you can put on them.

Do elemental effects from living weapon stack with elemental amulets? Man this discord mechanic is gonna be great for onymo and spirit users or onmyo users with an elemental weapon. So many great ideas in the game.

I don't think I've ever preordered a season pass bundle until this game. I actually preordered the standard edition a long time ago, but just cancelled it today and splurged on the gold edition. I have the highest confidence that this game will keep me engaged until all the DLCs release, it's just that good.

I think the addition of multiplayer is gonna whup people into shape wrt pulses, and stance/weapon switching. I'm gonna have a blast creaming pubbies for the first month after mp release. There are some really huge and ornate hammers in this game, but they kinda clash with the aesthetic of the game for me. Gonna go katana spirit I think for my first run and try out some cute lil animals.

It confused me because it seemed like it could go a number of ways, whether its a mod to your stat change in a Yokai puddle or against Yokai enemies or if it only applies in the true co op mode. Even though this game is a lot more direct than souls games it still has these little puzzles to figure out.

Ki break > tempest > Iai > ground execution is a mega damage combo for the katana. Chaining your own combos is so much fun.

I think iframes are at the beginning of your dodge. Switching to low stance for dodge then high for attacking works well too if you want to keep your dps and survivability up. Takes some practice though.
