GW seems a bit easier for me since the update. I still hit a tough team part way through, but the end is a breeze.

I'm getting pretty drat sick and tired of losing squad arena battles because the other teams consistently gets their turn first. Enemy Boba always manages to get ability block on 4/5 of my heroes, including my Lando and STH. Then immediately after enemy Boba's move, enemy tank puts up taunt so I can't do poo poo. Then enemy Lando AOEs my team.

Maybe I'll finally get a move in, which at this point is only a forced attack on their enemy tank. Then they somehow end up with having four more attacks including enemy Lando's AOE again which hits even harder.

The rare occasion I get first move, my Boba only lands 1 ability block on enemy, so then I'm hosed when enemy Boba manages to hit 4/5 of my guys. The worst part is that the teams I fight have less power, by like at least 2000. I have identical or better mods than them.

What am I missing? Is first shot based on RNG?

I have a similar/same arena team and have boba modded for speed so he usually hits first.

Notable heroes i have:

Lando 7*
Bobba 5*
Biggs 6*
Ezra 5*
Dooku 4*
STH 5*
Vader 4*
Phoenix Squad 5*
GMT 4*
RG 4*
Ackbar 4*
Windu 4*
Chirrut 3*

All are GL 6 with some at 7 (Dooku is even at 8)

I was stuck at 1000+ in arena for awhile until I got wiggs, lando, sth, and boba to g7 then I start reliably climbing. G8 just increased the speed of the climb.

But also gently caress g8 grinding
