Hey guys, I'm having an issue right now that I'm not sure what it is, so I'm going to attempt to explain what happened so that hopefully someone can identify. Firstly, the problem was very minor, I use my PC mostly for gaming, and sometimes I use a wired xbox 360 game controller, now, the player 1 light is lit when it's plugged in. However in the 2 games I've tried, the controller randomly cuts out and is either unresponsive or keeps the controlled character going in a single direction, no matter what I do with the controller. I've tried to update drivers and everything is up to date, then I tried again, this is where is gets a bit more serious. My machine blue screens (memory dump in to start windows in safe mode,... normally etc. etc.) Does anybody have any idea what it could be? Additional info: I've calibrated the controller under the device manager window (properties, test) and it says something to the effect of 'the controller is not properly connected'. (Even though the player 1 light is still on, so I can rule out the controller being the problem.)

Need to know your computer specs. What kind of USB port is it plugged into? You have BSODs only when the controller is plugged in? itsjustdrew posted:(Even though the player 1 light is still on, so I can rule out the controller being the problem.) It could be getting power but still be malfunctioning.
