the RNC in philly in 2000 wasn't really a big deal with protests, i don't even remember being inconvenienced much, but i was in highschool. the DNC proests in 2016 won't be a big deal either, unless people start setting fires. there was more civil disturbance when the Phillies won the world series tbh. i think the bernie people will be very non-violent honestly. black flaggers will def. show up, because crawling in their skin, their wounds they will not heal, fear is how they fall, confusing what is real

Illegal anywhere - most knives are 100% illegal to carry in any major city, for example Philadelphia has a blanket ban on literally anything that could be a weapon, like a club, or bat, or piece of wood, and any knife beyond a box knife; guns are OK tho with a conceal carry permit.

It's like a misdemeanor though it's not a felony.

(5) Incendiary Paper. No person shall manufacture, sell, offer for sale, carry or store any incendiary paper that has been chemically treated to vanish at the touch of a flame, including paper known as "flash paper."[164]

(6) Penalties. Whoever violates any provision of this Section or Section 10-821 shall, in addition to other penalties provided, forfeit the weapon, contraband, or dangerous device giving rise to the violation of such section.[165]

(7) Confiscation. Police officers shall seize and deliver into departmental custody any air gun, air pistol, spring gun, switch blade knife, incendiary paper, contraband weapons, accessories and/or ammunition or other implement which shall be used, discharged, possessed, offered for sale or carried in violation of Section 10-810 or Section 10-821.[166]

basically at some point in the 90s we said "Its OK if cops shoot kids if it looks like the kid had a gun" so we banned everything that might look like a gun. Actual guns are protected by the 2nd amendment but since water pistols are not, they're all officially illegal on the books.

so the response was to ban water guns. like this is one example, it happened a few times.

i think Third Eye Blind refusing to play certain songs at the rock and roll hall of fame event near the RNC was the most effective protest in cleveland so far, but i have big faith in Philly's ability to get wild

it's a perfect microcosm of the problems with the democratic party. on the march for income inequality (which is why in goddamn philly theres only 1 black person in the march group, theyre all at work because they cant take time off) with the democratic party being side tracked by a symbol (dont get me wrong its bad but pick your battles lol) on the way to address more important issues. that flag is irl twitter. someone even said cis white male out loud
