OK I am going to watch Voyager everyone knows it's worse than DS9 but is it better or worse than TNG I have a gut feeling it's gonna be worse poo poo there's 7 seasons of this Monkey Fracas fucked around with this message at 18:20 on May 23, 2016 |

first ep Voyager impressions: -they begin by reminding you a superior show, DS9, exists -the Paris character is a walking repository of bad one-liners thought up by drunk writers at 3:00 AM who are also bad at writing and I hope the character dies in the first season or something -Neelix actually fairly unobjectionable so far -I find Janeway to be kinda bland and uninteresting so far- what is this character supposed to be? -I already like Holo-Doctor -I like that the tribal-looking dudes wearing rags with dirt and poo poo caked in their hair also have bigass spaceships

In the like third episode the Alien of the Week steals Neelix's lungs lol

I think Voyager is a silly show that I will mostly just enjoy having on while I do something else in the house or listen to on long drives like it's a radio drama or something I feel like it will also be the worst Star Trek show I have watched overall

I'm watching it, but not like actually watching it It's background noise and I feel like that's all it deserves I wonder if this is like the other Star Trek shows where they take a season or two to really hit their stride Monkey Fracas fucked around with this message at 15:03 on May 25, 2016 |

Star Trek Voyager hits its limping, pained stride in the very first episode "UUrrgghh why did you creattee meeeee" says Star Trek Voyager
# ¿ May 25, 2016 15:29 |
The one way Voyager could potentially redeem itself is by being ridiculous and corny enough to make me at least laugh at it
# ¿ May 25, 2016 16:10 |
oh my god the episode where in their Lust For Coffee they accidentally bust open an enormous intergalactic organism's skin and then decide they have to go back in in there and fix it is ridiculous but somehow boring at the same time Neelix the waaaaacky furry guy remarks how stupid it is at multiple points in the episode and I'm like "yeah that's right Comedy Relief Character this is dumb as hell"
# ¿ May 26, 2016 16:33 |
Oh so we can go home but we'll be 20 years in the past? gently caress yeah let's get outta this craphole and ditch this weird Space Hobbit Ohhhhh noooooo we can't, y'see time problems and blah blah blah blah This is like the third episode that deals with time shenanigans and the show's writers don't seem to be able to really handle it I mean tough thing to write but maybe save it for the barnburner season finale instead of leading with it in the first season
# ¿ May 27, 2016 06:10 |
Ahhh they couldn't even make it through the first season without doing a holodeck episode Not that I'm exactly complaining- it's a Doctor - focused ep and corny nonsense is entertaining to me anyway Man Janeway is still just not coming together as a character
# ¿ May 31, 2016 13:21 |

I think my favorite character is Tuvok just completely nonplussed and unimpressed by all the stupid bullshit going on in Voyager he's kind of an audience standin in that way I guess
# ¿ Jun 1, 2016 16:29 |

how long are the episodes going to keep randomly starting with Janeway's British holodeck novel

Who is supreme goony weirdo geordi or barclay
# ¿ Jun 1, 2016 19:57 |

Upon reflection Geordi is obviously the worst, yeah Worse than Barclay who's just kinda nervous and insecure and misses work because he's playing holo-waifu-dating sims Worse than Worf with his klingon weeaboo space bushido Worse than Data who is just a robot with a touch of the 'tism Worse than Wesley who at least has the courtesy to gently caress off like halfway through the series
# ¿ Jun 1, 2016 21:51 |
Oh yeah the psychic alien that incapacitated the entire crew with visions out of their brains? Yeah gently caress you if you think we're explaining that one was it even reeaaallll man? There seem to be a lot of episodes they just don't know how to end Like unless they're setting a lot of stuff up for later episodes or something

So for real in 7 seasons how many good episodes did Voyager have When do these happen
# ¿ Jun 6, 2016 13:44 |
Y'know before I started watching Voyager I thought I'd not like Neelix because WHOOAOAAAA WAAACKY COMIC RELIEF but it turns out I don't like him because he's in a relationship with a 2-year-old being that looks like a teenager and it's real creepy doubly so because he looks like a gross space hobbit I kinda hope Kes dies soon or something because it's real weird WTF Voyager why did you choose to do this
# ¿ Jun 7, 2016 16:12 |

I just made it to the episode where she almost cooks Tuvok alive with her brain powers

I am unwilling to download 60gb+ of just to watch Voyager. I'm watching it most of the time while I'm doing something else like preparing food or cleaning or playing Picross 3D or something and occasionally looking at it most star trek shows would allllmost work as an audio drama with like no changes

# ¿ Jun 7, 2016 18:28 |

I'm probably going to skip a lot of Voyager eventually when does the show hit its horrible debilitated shambling stride again, when all the Borg stuff starts happening?

Like I'm disappointed that it isn't worse actually if that makes sense it's just kinda... there heeeyyy folks time to check in on your pals on the starship Voyager in this episode the gang gets... *yawwn* stuck inside some kinda... space... organism and can't just shoot their way out because of Starfleet Protocol or something so they play around with the *insert 15 straight minutes of here* until they find a solution that somehow changes nothing and works... for everyone I am OK with this conclusion says Janeway as she files away her logs for this week's nonserialized syndication-friendly adventure in a beige folder in a beige holocabinet by the old holowatercooler

Worf is pretty much an alien punching bag or comic relief (intentional and non-intentional) on TNG

Also lmao just watched the episode where Paris goes to Warp 10 and can see everything that is or ever will be and this causes him to evolve into a weird fish frog salamander thing and then he kidnaps Janeway and they both turn into weird fish frogs and have fish frog offspring together and at the end of the episode they go "huh that was weird eh?" and turn them back into humans in approximately 2 seconds (I think they even do it during a commercial break; can't be sure as obviously I'm Netflixing this) and the episode just ends
# ¿ Jun 8, 2016 19:45 |
I gotta say when I thought "dire consequences of going to Warp 10 a theoretically infinite speed" I was not thinking hyper-evolved salamanders so uh like good on Voyager for subverting my expectations there I guess
# ¿ Jun 8, 2016 19:50 |
And if they were able to cure them of their Future-Salamanderism so easily why didn't they explore Warp 10 a little more y'know give it a shot it worked once at least

ya gotta have a furry guy chock full of seemingly useless anecdotes; that's the lynchpin of every major scientific breakthrough Or Whoopi Goldberg in a silly hat, that works too

if you separate her from her silly hat she loses her powers, just like Samson and his hair

Watched the episode where Tuvok mind melds with a murderer and goes kinda crazy I actually kinda liked it
# ¿ Jun 9, 2016 05:24 |
In the ep where Tuvok goes murderey he creates a holodeck simulation of Neelix being extremely annoying and he cannot stop himself from brutally killing him lol hmmm what can I use to see if I can handle being about in the general population what is the most annoying thing I can think of
# ¿ Jun 9, 2016 14:55 |
I just can't believe how much Voyager there is holy hell 24 eps a season × 7 seasons × 50 min an ep= 140 hours of Voyager But by God I will get through it Voyager is now the background noise to my life when I am home; I pay attention whenever something remotely interesting happens Like the Q episode where one of them wants to kill himself and the Q Continum is an old gas station in New Mexico, that was kinda neat
# ¿ Jun 9, 2016 18:50 |
in this episode Neelix hits a man with a wrench and throws him into the warp plasma conduit thingy or whatever it is Neelix getting better and better; is pretty much the best thing on the show
