Yeah I use a controller and play on console and pc and am ranked similarly in each. I can't aim with a mouse so my dps sucks regardless, but I think playing tank and support doesn't put you at much of a disadvantage.

The fundamental issue with Overwatch’s design is no one wants to play or tank or support. You can barely get them to play those roles in an MMO, let alone an fps!

I like playing those because my aim sucks. So while DPS is fun to play, I'm very bad at it and sometimes just want to help the team win.

People rank Reaper so high not because he's a tank buster like he used to be, but because now he's a menace at flanking. Now you want him to go kill the support line since very few can escape or counter him.

Well, I don't think people are rating him high. He tends to end up directly in the middle of most tier lists, if not a little lower. My frustration is that trying to play him like a tank buster makes him feel like a bottom 5 hero. It will take some time and patches to see where he ends up, but I was rather underwhelmed.

From what I understand, he was a top 5 in the alpha and took some nerfs.

Oh yeah, I only saw a tier list made from the alpha and not from the beta

lol imagine getting mad at playing with console players in quick play modes

"ugh this filthy console user is the reason we keep losing mystery heroes!"

Mystery heroes is the best mode.

The other day we ran into a team that called themselves "Oops! All Lucios!" because they started out with 4 Lucios. That kind of ridiculousness you can only get with RNG.

Does it seem like characters are very hard to kill? It seems like the breakpoints between healing and damage were adjusted at some point and characters just aren't dying.

Nah I think time to tie is shorter for the squishies and longer for the tank. Playing support, I am not living as long, especially if the other team has a good Widow or their Sojourn has a good aim with the rail gun.

Yeah only go after the tanks when the supports/dps are dead or if Ana has landed an anti-nade on them and everyone can focus fire.

Remove roles for heroes, give everyone a DPS, Healer, and Tank loadout that turns them into that role. Now you can always play Pharah if you're feeling the urge, but you can be a Pharah with healing rockets or something.

Let Roadhog hook teammates to him and shoot them point blank with his healing shotgun

If you add any rules to mystery heroes it ruins the whole thing. Just leave it be and learn to live with the randomness.

I cannot imagine why anyone would be excited for some PvE mode in this game. Now, a PvP mode where you get experience and talents within the game? Yes, please.

Lots of people don't like multiplayer. And sometimes you just wanna chill out and not play against people and use characters you normally wouldn't and not have people yelling at you about how you need to switch or about how bad you are.

Also people like the characters and wanna see story stuff with them.

How could you have any interest in the characters if you don't like multiplayer? How would you have gotten tied to the characters in the first place?

The cinematics, the comics, watching other people who are good at the game stream the game, watching OWL, seeing the insane amount of pornography made about the game. So lots of ways.

I don't get why Sym got destroyed by the nerf bat. It's not like she was really ever being played. Why even take away the ammo refill when there's only two tanks who have shields?

Junker Queen is fun as hell to play. Hitting a lot of people with carnage is indeed really satisfying. Just like hitting your ult on most of the other team, then watching them fall like dominoes. And the knife throw is fun too. I've decided I'm just gonna main her because none of the other tanks are as much fun.

I also tried Sojourn for the first time and she's pretty fun too. It feels nice to get those railgun kills.

Ana is still a powerful support but you need really good aim and your team to help peel for you since you're a huge dive target. So most the time you'll play with people who don't care about any of that so you'll die constantly or if your aim isn't that great, miss healing some folks.

Playing support, I've had a lot more success with Moira, Bap, Lucio, and Brig since they have more utility for self surviving when your team ignores that everyone is going after the healers.

Hanzo and Genji are also based off samurai and ninja archetypes who use a longbow and katana/ninja stars respectively, so that argument of Kiriko being some ninja priestess who uses kunai and talismans is dumb. Especially so since apparently her lore is intertwined with the Shimada bros. Her kit is clearly influenced by NINJA VANISH! poo poo too, so I dunno. Those arguments are weak imo.

[edit] Hammond's lore is tied to Winstons, right? What else is there to know? Lmao. I do want to hear of his exploits in the wasteland though. Is he like the Junker Queen's top advisor? Lmao.

Aww now I just realized that in comp you can't get Hammond on the same team with JQ so we can't hear any dialogue between them.

Maybe it'll be in the game for no limits or MH.
