That Tron lightcycles game is cool, and from the sounds of it at least you think it was translated well to tabletop. They still going to work with Level 99 (not necessarily a bad thing)?

Oh, nice! GTG have some games I'm interested in... I assume that'd just enter KS bloat, but I'd personally consider an addon or two if they do give the option.

So yeah, I just got my package for Henchling (formerly known as Minion), and everything seems good from the outside, just gotta look in and see if all the cards are there (I know the expansion wasn't sent yet, so just looking for base game cards). It's been a long trip with those guys, I'm glad it's ending on a positive note. Funnily, even though it took this long, I find myself more likely to back a future project of theirs than another Mayday game.

Here's a game where everybody gets to play as Einstein, but it's competitive. Basically you play Einstein in different stages of his life, trying to make it so the stage in life you represent becomes the most influential on his works.

The central game mechanic also looks very nifty IMO, it's a tile-laying game where you're trying to construct a grand idea using your own tiles and the competition's in such a way as to unlock your personal inspirations and Einstein's major theories. Tiles come in different shapes and sizes.

There is one pledge - $60 for 1 copy of Empires of the Void II, Deluxe Edition. No other tiers, which is kinda refreshing. The Deluxe Version (which will be $80 at conventions only outside of KS) just has metal coins, a Making Of book, and some 30mm miniature (I don't know what it does). Retail price for the standard version (sans metal coins, book, miniature) will be $60.

I know nothing about this one. I'm definitely backing Near and Far when it comes up but I'll have to take a look at this. I like Laukat's stuff typically.

Seems interesting, but I'm pretty sure I know someone who'll back it, and I'm backing Food Truck Champion and Long Live The Queen (nothing to do with the videogame of the same name as far as I know) at the moment.

I put a pledge on Gloomhaven for a long while, but eventually cancelled because I knew there's no way I'll be fine with putting stickers on things and writing notes on stuff and such. I don't think I'm the type to own a legacy game (though maybe hypocritically I'd be fine with joining someone else's legacy campaign? I don't know).

I think you'd probably still be fine with Gloomhaven, honestly--90% of the Legacy stuff that's in the vein you don't like is adding locations to the world map, which just serves to look cool and show what you've got unlocked. There's not any huge things that change how the game plays mechanically at a fundamental level. Probably the one thing I can see being kind of an issue is that later on you get the ability to modify actual ability cards, but I think that shouldn't be too hard to find a way around.

I actually enjoy the idea of the game mechanics changing from game to game. I've had fun playing Fabled Fruit, for instance.
