West Wind is running a project for some mechs for their weird war 2 game Secrets of the Third Reich. Looks like they're doing it piecemeal after the project to do the whole 2nd edition at once didn't take off as well as they needed it to

Titanforge just launched a project for a system agnostic 28mm fantasy Japanese army that works suspiciously well with Kings of War, down to the base sizes and rank setups in the renders.

The vote you're thinking of was about whether or not Palladium would sell Robotech Tactics figures at GenCon, which was before they'd fulfilled wave one to backers, IIRC. It happened for both; or rather was meant to happen for both, but after the first time, there was such a backlash when he tried it again for the scale that he had to back away slightly

Antivehicular posted:I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Ninja Division dropped/tanked the project and left Siembieda holding the bag, trusting that Siembieda's reputation would make it look like his fault? Which is pretty lovely, if true (and it seems plausible enough). Ninja Division thought they were doing a simple contract game using a Palladium IP, with "by Ninja Division, published by Palladium" on the box, but once the money was in they had the game taken away from them, and they were reduced to contract sculptors for Palladium only, because the greedy rear end in a top hat is physically incapable of sharing credit with anyone - and had to enter the trinary hell of feedback, seeking, and reseeking approval from both Siembieda, and Harmony Gold. They completed the work they were paid for, to the bad and contradictory advice and specifications they were given, and moved on. Siembieda remains holding the bag because RRT was genuinely the sleazy, egotistical shithead's own loving fault. Whether Ninja Division would have produced a better product or not without the interference I can't say. NTRabbit fucked around with this message at 07:16 on Apr 24, 2017 |

All the local groups, stores, and companies I loosely follow on social media have been repping The Brigade - A Board Game of Fantasy Firefighting since it went up a few days ago, made by a team in Melbourne. Looks like it could be a cool game, and they have an online version you can try before pledging, which is a pretty neat next step above a free PnP demo NTRabbit fucked around with this message at 14:18 on Aug 4, 2017 |

In non-RPGs, Mantic's Kings of War: Vanguard has gone live, Skirmish game connected to the wildly successful rank and file mass battle game Kings of War. Uses elite troops and heroes to play the battle before the battle, skirmishers lead by commanders with character progression, can make one big campaign with both games, or just a skirmish campaign, or one off games as you like. Their approach to a skirmish game was inspired by a visit to the memorial at Quatre Bras, and the battle for the farmhouse that helped decide how the Battle of Waterloo went 2 days later.
