Hello.

I spilled liquid on my 2013.5 Macbook Air. Some leaked through the keyboard and then burnt out my Airport card, so I replaced that.

Trouble is, I don't know what else could use replacing. The keyboard itself is ok, maybe a bit sticky.

Are there any good ways of washing the internals? I work for a major defense contractor and maybe could have the internals sprayed down at a water wash station. I have access to industry leading ESD stations as well.

Or I could up and buy a new one; or get a replacement keyboard. I'm not sure really if anything's wrong with the laptop.

Is it safe to buy DI water and let the parts soak in there for a little while? Then I could dry them out for a couple weeks.

The bottom panel still had some solidified beer or soda or whatever so I scraped that away. I also gave it a meticulous de-dusting with an air can.

TL;DR: What the gently caress do I do with a perfectly functioning but still kinda sticky Macbook Air?

You could use distilled water and then make sure it's completely dry before turning it back on.

Putting electronics in with a bag of rice for a couple of days is good for doing that.
