 Scotland had not qualified for a major finals since the 1998 World Cup, but it was announced that Euro 2016 will be made up of 24 nations, an increase from 16 previously (that is 8 more, Glasgow residents) thanks to a proposal put forward by the Scottish and Irish football associations. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/internationals/7636495.stm Very clever these people. Scotland were drawn in qualifying group D with the World Champs Germany, along with Ireland, Poland, Georgia, and Gibraltar. No easy matches here! The 3rd match was a tough one away to Poland. Scotland was winning til 76 mins but then they gave up a goal and drew 2-2. A credible result for the lads! What the hell? You're telling me all the other fake British "countries" made it, even Wales, and Scotland didn't? Anti Scottish conspiracy? You be the judge. Here is how it ended up:  People all around Scotland were dejected at the result:   It looked for a while like Euro 2016 would be deprived of fat, pale, unintelligible men in dresses, but I've recently read that quite a few UK D&D posters plan on attending.
