NWPlayer, hacker that is best known for datamining Splatoon and uncovering and making videos of weapons before they came out, basically is helping out a guy leak out the E3 demo. This guy just shoved an SD card into a Wii U at E3, copy/pasted the 16gig demo and now they're working together to get it out there, apparently it'll be out tomorrow and you'll need a modded Wii U for that. lmao, no. the booths don't have consoles visible, they're development units and behind lock and key.

I don't like SS's combat because it's "do the correct swing every time", no options about strategy. It's not really engaging when it tells you exactly what to do, and you really don't have any options. It's long, boring, and drawn out. The only time it worked well was with Girahim where the game didn't telegraph things for you 100% and you had some options as to what to do. Also, Fitts' Law says that in order to perform a swing, there's first an anticipation pre-swing, and sometimes the game picks that up and swings in the wrong direction.

No, people just didn't realize that there was a key at the bottom of the middle room; it was a puzzle. The 3DS version fixed this by having the camera pan on that block when you raised the water afterwards.

the implication is that with minor tweaks you can make SS into a good game, but no minor tweaks would make TP a good game. i disagree, i think they both have The Good Part and also lovely Unfixable Zelda Moment that makes me sigh but that's just my opinion.

With Wind Waker, every item has multiple clever uses and it really contributes to the game as a whole. Twilight Princess's items aren't used after the dungeon they're contained in except for that one recall puzzle. Wind Waker's dungeons range from unmemorable to OK. The quality of Twilight Princess's dungeons are on par with OoT / MM.

Art direction of Twilight Princess was to be noisy and brown, with crazy multiply blending for the lights to make everything bloom. Even the places that aren't brown, like the fishing pond, tend to use streaky shading giving everything shimmering highlights. It was the style at the time. It hasn't aged well. Wind Waker used pastel, muted colors and flat, detailless textures to give a clean look. It ages really well.

I think Majora's Mask is one of those games that is greatly improved the second time around. While today, you know what you're getting into, you know that there are four dungeons, you know how the sidequests work, etc., a first time player doesn't know anything about the game or how it's put together. The time system sort of discourages exploration, since you lose all your resources at the end of a cycle, no matter what. Any treasures you find are going to disappear, and you have no idea if when you explore, you're going to end up in a small side area, or a giant sidequest that could waste a day and reset all the progress on your half-finished dungeon you wanted to take a break from. Every player, after resetting after beating Ikana Swamp for the first time and noticing everything being gloomy and reset, is going to say "ugh, I have to do that again?" and put the game down. Knowing how the game works, it's a lot of fun, but it's not kind to first-time players, and I can definitely see it being incredibly harsh and unfun for someone who just wanted Ocarina of Time's sequel.
