I'm not sure how I feel about ~~Las~~ Vegas' logo. My initial reaction is that it's just so bland. It might work okay as a secondary logo, but as the primary? Yeesh. Maybe if THE CREATOR wasn't so fixated on his team being named the ______ Knights and the NHL actually gave them more wiggle room with the name they could've came up with a better name and logo. But oh well.

I doubt they go the 8 skaters route, so odds are that Davidson gets picked if he's still on the roster. If not him, I hope Russell, but I'm guessing Vegas' management won't be that stupid. So it'll be either Reinhart or, more likely, one of the Oilers forwards they don't protect (that isn't Hendricks).

e: Also there's no reason for Las Vegas not to pick Matt Murray, since as far as we know at this point Fleury will still be on the Pens and his NMC will auto-protect him, despite what PAS might say.

The thing to remember with UFAs is that Vegas can sign them and then that'd constitute as their pick from that team, so having several UFAs isn't too bad if you think Vegas can sign them. Still, I doubt they'll sign somebody like Shattenkirk who seems destined for the Rangers. I also doubt the Oilers won't protect Letestu.

I mean, the fact there's a deal in place doesn't mean things can't change. If I was a team, especially one of the Pacific teams, I sure as hell would try and get Manson or Vatanen (preferably Manson) by giving Vegas a lot more than what the Ducks are willing to give up. At worst you force the Ducks to pay a lot more, which isn't a bad thing at all.
