this game is from the early 2000s when WYSIWYG game engines didnt even understand side-scrolling without custom coding

the guy who made this made a lot of good games and jumper just happens to be a really ugly one. he's made

Towerfall Ascension
Give Up Robot (for adult swim)
Fat Wizard (for adult swim)
RunMan

and An Untitled Story which is one of the earliest metroidvanias on PC

fun fact, clickteam products (and game maker's earliest days) only offered sidescrolling in a form that didn't unload anything from memory when it left the screen, so games with sidescrolling in that era would chug on the PCs of that day

prompt - platformer with a style that resembles a command line/terminal
escape goat 2 - puzzle game series where you control a goat and mouse you should know this one because it owns
super meat boy - i beat the IWBTG level for the steam winter sale coal and never touched this game again
defunct - 3d racing...exploration.. game
momodora - cave story style art, some of the momodora series is like metroidvania, some arent. consider this the honorary touhou of the marathon
cloudbuilt - parkour platformer built around speedrunning
boson x - third person runner game, has a style that reminds me of the old racer STUN Runner
