Wheaton's character on Syfy's Dark Matter is an insufferable neckbeard space scientist, so that's not even acting for him at this point.

Earlier tonight, I was at a local arcade complex that just opened up a few weeks ago, and I spotted this and immediately played it. Made by Bally in 1979. Happy 50th, ya filthy animals.

Slightly off topic, but there was a whole lotta pinball at this place. Most i've seen all at once in quite a long time. They even had a restored Asteroids machine: There was a Millipede and a Missile Command nearby, too.

Nobody has been cast yet because the show is simply too dangerous. Live explosives and frayed electrical wires laying around and puddles of water and high powered lasers and enormous Tesla coils and circular saws and trap doors. It's not up to SAG snuff and it never will be.

Fuller & Co. wanted more practical effects for the show, so they made sure that the consoles were filled to the brim with actual molten slag and rocks.
