No, I'm 3 minutes into the newest CumTown, and the cat has already vomited and then immediately shitted, and the Cumboys are talking about Amber's cat-shaped blind spot when it comes to reminding her roommates about shared space cleanliness.

By my count that's at least 3 episodes on the free side where the cat is making GBS threads & vomiting in the kitchen while the 'boys podcast.

Anyway I just listened to ep 37 with Brandon Wardell and it was pretty boring. It was sort of interesting though when they talked about how they were all technically millennials, but Will and Matt were 'elder statesmen millennials' and they don't actually use this term but I finally get what people mean when they talk about "digital natives" which seems like a good way to describe Brandon and Felix. I'm not really familiar with Brandon but judging from this episode it seems like all of his humor derives from the internet and he doesn't seem that clever. Felix on the other hand, is much better at translating internet humor to real life, and uh, code-switching.

Brandon's 'comedy' is best described by Nick Mullen: 'copy & paste from world star hip hop comments section and r/blackpeopletwitter' His personality is just whatever meme is popular at the moment, and he's mostly known for getting danny trejo to say #dicksoutforharambe on snapchat.

Didn't Dan Nainan have an email exchange with Marc Maron a few years ago offering to pay Marc to let him on his podcast? I'm sure it was Dan Nainan, or some other dude who does heaps of shows in Dubai for oil failsons. His emails sounded real kooky.

Yeah, as I recall, Dan asked to be on the podcast, back when Marc was struggling and WTF was still smallish and gaining steam. Marc said no, because Dan is a corporate comedy hack, not respected in comedy, funny, well-known nor interesting. So Dan of course takes it personally and offers Marc $10k to have him on as a guest, and Marc tells him to gently caress off because he has artistic integrity. Dan then shot off like an email a day for a week with pictures of his filet mignon meals on private jets in the middle east while doing his awful but lucrative 'my crazy immigrant parents' corporate comedy. Which he stole from Russell Peters, who in turn stole from Gina Yashere.

He's done some obnoxious stuff without any self awareness, and he just doesn't understand why no other comedians like him. Like for a few years any misspelling of Russell Peters' website would link to Dan's (set up visually similar to Russell's), and he'd answer the phone pretending to be Russell's agent, and then say that Russell unfortunately isn't available for your gig but there's this other great comedian, Dan Nainan who's available and also 100% clean.

Or with this whole Millennial Comedian thing, he's claiming to be 34 or 35 now, but he also won't abandon his 9/11 Changed My Life narrative. So if the Forbes journalist had done the back-of-envelope math at any point in the 40 minute interview, they would have figured out that 'Millennial Dan Nainan' was a 17 year old 'senior software engineer' when he saw the second plane strike the south tower from his corner office at Intel.

It's a deep, fascinating well of unbridled narcissism.

They kind of danced around out, but the best part of all these militia idiots is that everyone picks their own rank in whatever cosplay battalion, and almost everyone picks captain, colonel or general. Whereas in the real military, there's maybe one officer per 50 enlisted.

Like in the aftermath of the Bundy standoff, all these idiots from different militia groups were all threatening & pulling guns on each other partially because no one knew who outranked the other.

This is then immediately followed up by Favrau trying to come up with a technocratic compromise for what Bernie should have said in the Perez interview.

That's what I've been saying for years. Instead of starting from $15/hr and negotiating down to $12, for example, they just start at $12 to avoid confrontation and get ignored or denied entirely.

Like even with a D majority in the house, senate and presidency, they refused to try all that hard at healthcare reform, or education, or anything really. As I was researching for this story, I found a megathread titled “The Piss Tape is Real” deep inside the recesses of the political subsections of Something Awful forums. At some point last week, a user posted, “So guys I filed a trademark application for the phrase ‘the piss tape is real’ and I got a call from some reporter from the verge yesterday. how should I respond.”

“The piss tape is real,” a few users respond, predictably. “Pee on him,” advises another, more creatively.

There’s nothing new about internet shitposting, but there’s something emblematic about finally getting to federally register “The Piss Tape is Real” just as the decency of mainstream political discourse hits absolute bottom — then sinks even further. It’s a path that will inevitably take all of us, mostly figuratively, right into the toilet.

How does Virgil do the die scoring? The base score is 60, and your d20 roll adds to that? From listening to Nerd Poker I thought the system was that if your stat is an 11, you need to roll at least an 11 to pass whatever check? Also what does it mean when he said to write a check mark next to a stat?
