Okay I'm very excited that there's a fresh new LF/MF thread because I just bought a near mint Pentax 67 and it's totally rad and good. (Although shooting the solely mechanical C330 made me forget about things like batteries - my first trip out to take pictures ended in much frustration with a dead battery.)

Here is a medium format:

I dropped my Mamiya C330s face first into the sand on the beach the other day because I am a careless idiot.

That moment of clarity, as you see a still image of this thing hanging in the air. Then the moment of hope that it'll somehow land in a way that doesn't get a gently caress-ton of sand into every crevice. Finally, the many hours of regret and denial that follow when you see that it has landed lens first and the shutter, the rails, the finder, and every other possible nook is now guzzling sand.

It has been sent off to get cleaned. Let's see how this works out.

This thread makes me want to buy a mf camera, just to get the film look. I'm going to be a very poor man soon aren't I

You can also get the "film look" by buying a $5 35mm film camera.

Yes to the limited but not in the way you are asking, and no. Why so hostile? I just like it. Are you limited by not shooting MF/LF Does it magically make your photos better?

My advice: don't try to learn photography on a MF camera. Seriously, if you like the look and want to experiment with it, set it as a long term goal. Play around with a manual 35mm camera for a while first. You'll save yourself a poo poo ton of money and frustration.

I got a Pentax 67 and it's totally rad. Don't know what the gently caress I'm doing with rectangular format though.

Traditional values - such as wrapping up your outdoor tropical plants so they don't freeze -are being discarded in the era of increasing post-industrial malaise.

Front yards in the south will often feature outdoor plants wrapped in blankets when a freeze is expected. Those wrapped plants were the subject of a student's photography exhibit I saw in college. I consider this photo my response.

For real: I love this photo (perhaps because the intersection of plants and human environment is basically my favourite thing to photograph). Bravo.

I'm not convinced the left side of the image really adds much... but I love this anyway. It's like that plant is from the FUTURE.
