I really hope Smackdown just keeps plowing forward with the whole "we know you're expecting Randy to turn but he's not going to because that's boring" thing for like a whole year.

I love that the 4 guys I most want to see from the UK tournament are getting NXT matches now. Bate, Dunne, Andrews, and Seven are all really fun to watch.

Chris James 2 posted:

I kinda expect them to come up on the post-Mania SD like I expect Nakamura on the post-Mania Raw

If they don't show up that week then lol, they're stuck in NXT till Summerslam

Don't forget that there will be a 2017 Draft. It's usually in June or July, so I'd expect them called up in the Draft if it's not the post-Mania Raw/SD.

It's kind of funny though because Crews just beat Dolph on his own and now at the PPV Dolph will beat two guys. WWE logic.

It's really a no-win situation for everyone involved. If Kalisto/Crews win, who cares, it's just Dolph and they had the 2-1 advantage. If Dolph wins, the other guys are even bigger geeks for losing with a 2-1 advantage.
The only good way out of this is to have a debut or some other heel come out to help Dolph to make it even, and then Dolph still loses because he's a bitchboy.

The really dumb thing about that injury is that Oksana landed just fine, and then suddenly dropped her knee into Naomi's eye for no reason. God, she was terrible.

Eh, I liked the circular design, and the grid outside the ring was cooler than the new padded areas. It made it look unique.

Yeah, I've mostly turned the corner on Corbin, mainly due to his Talking Smack stuff. I still wish they'd find a way to get characters over on their actual TV shows instead of a half-kayfabe talk panel aftershow, but it's still done wonders for a few people.

I could see them making her NXT's end boss. Like regardless of whether or not she's champion, anyone who wants to make it out of there has to beat her first.

Really she's still in the undefeated phase anyway - you can't have a dominant character forever, so it'll be interesting to see what happens when she starts losing.

That being said, his credibility has been shattered so many times now than even with the good booking and worthwhile storytelling he's gotten to be part of on Smackdown his ceiling is probably permanently damaged. Having Orton beat him might be the right call given how the crowd has been reacting. And I hate to say that because I love Bray.

I don't think anyone is beyond redemption, they just have to book him strongly and credibly on a long-term basis. But since this company only pushes new people long-term by accident, they won't do that. He only has a ceiling because the company gives him one.

MAKE BRAY LOOK STRONG is one of the weirder preoccupations of this forum imo

It's really no different than how we treat any other internet favorite, like how a lot of us want Cesaro to be pushed better too. Wyatt's just in a unique position where he's got actual depth to his character and he's on the cusp of being a long-term main event fixture if they use him better. We don't say that same kind of stuff about Owens or Styles as much because they've mostly already reached that point.

I figure Bray will end up more in a Kane position than a Taker one though.

The great thing about the tournament is that it will finally give some legitimate competition to Asuka, her title run has been fine but it's almost entirely a lack of legitimate opponents over her just being a dominant type

That's more of a problem with them not building contenders credibly. Or even booking one of those 3 or 4-way matches to have one challenger pin another without her involved.
