He contacted the mods of the Book Barn (Loosechanj and Viconia at the time I think) and asked if they could maybe be a bit more positive (by which he probably meant not actively hoping for his death). So there was a new rule instituted for maybe a week, that you could only post in the Bad Thread if you were posting something positive. The thread did get a little less awful for a while I guess. I haven't read the Bad Thread in a long time.

There should be some sort of way for Lowtax to have a lawyer meet his wife and kid at a neutral, safe location and verify for him that his daughter is all right though (not saying there is, just that in a just society there should be). The police telling me they know what happened to my kid wouldn't console me very much.
