I'm wondering if my documented chronically elevated eye pressure is enough to get me a medical card for glaucoma. Probably not. Michigan has a pretty short list of qualifying conditions and that's the closest I can get.

Yeah, but it's not technically glaucoma. Yet. Maybe "Dr. Ganja" at the local dispensary can massage it into something.

My husband's going to one of the, what, eight loving municipalities with adult-use in MI today, so I asked him to pick up some gummies from the nearest shop. I hope he remembers. The best part of having a rock-bottom low tolerance is that a box of ten 10-mg gummies magically becomes a box of forty 2.5-mg gummies!

I slipped my mom one of my tiny doses of gummies on her birthday. No word yet on whether she's tried it. At the rate I'm chewing through my supply, I might have to ask for it back.

I keep checking out the online ordering page for the closest provisioning center (still a half-hour away; Michigannn ) and was wondering about dosages. Resin carts and concentrates seem to come in only .5 to 1 gram portions and cost a pretty significant chunk of change. How many average hits would you get from that amount of product? I've only ever used edibles (though I'm eyeing a flower vape for 4/20); there are 10 doses in one package of Kushy Punch (or 40 if you're a lightweight like me), and that costs a fraction of the various carts.

Found out the second-closest dispensary is adding adult-use soon, they deliver--and we are just barely within the delivery radius, even at 15 miles away!

I'll be just down the road from our two nearest provisioning centers this weekend and am perusing their menus. How are DabTabs? I was looking at flower vapes as my first foray out of gummies, but these look more convenient. Might hit way too hard for a nanodosing babby like me, though.

I've noticed some great products on MI dispensary sites, only to realize I was browsing the medical menu and the adult-use menu doesn't have any of the stuff I'd been eyeing. I'm waiting for my eye specialist to call me in for my (COVID-delayed) checkup so I have more recent paperwork backing up my almost-glaucoma that the local "Dr. Ganja" (no lie) can massage into a med license. The nearest adult-user place is still a half-hour away, but I can probably get medical closer. I think.

I need to do the math to figure out how much flower makes x amount of tincture, mostly because I don't need a whole Everclear bottle full of tincture (nor do I want to buy that much fresh weed). Only enough for, like...4 oz. of the final product? Six? Dosing is less of a problem, since I can dose a drop at a time. There used to be a bunch of indica edibles and topicals in the stores around me, but stock has been vanishing this past week or so and I'm looking for alternatives.

I'm trying a sublingual indica spray, 2.5 mg per spray. It kicks in fast--in about five minutes--but doesn't seem to hit as hard or last as long as the equivalent in Kushy Punch (which I've decided are too drat small to have to subdivide into quarters). I don't really know why. I miss that solid sleepiness at the tail end. I stocked up (that and a bag of 1:1 THC:CBD gummies) three weeks back and am trying very hard to pace myself. Reading the news does not help. I might end up making some ethanol tincture after all.

Epitope posted:As to comparing 2.5 mg of one vs. the other, it might not be because of the type. It's pretty hard to accurately dose a spray like that, and maybe the gummies are on the high side. So you could be comparing 2 mg to 3 mg. But yes, do try a spray if you can find it. This one is by Choice Labs here in MI, a cinnamon indica "breath spray". 100 ml total, or 40 x 2.5-ml sprays. It also comes in peppermint sativa. I produce too much saliva to hold anything under my tongue for too long, so this was a welcome product. It's compact, so it would be discreet enough to use out in the world, too (if that was a place I went anymore).

Metro Detroit just got a third-party courier! While individual dispensaries are delivering these days, this service lets you shop at places way out of delivery range. Like Grubhub for weed. I know other places like CA have had this for ages, but it's very new for me (and written up in our major newspapers). I look forward to browsing the expanded line of products.

Any recommendations for reliable strains that induce euphoria/general happiness? I'm once again thisclose to biting the bullet and making my own tincture or oil for edibles; I'd like access to all the available strains instead of settling for the more generic "indica/sativa/hybrid" edibles. I very much appreciate how the edibles I've tried (mostly indica or 1:1 hybrid:CBD) reduce my anxiety with a healthy pinch of DGAF, but I realized it'd be nice if I had something that made me actually happy, too. On a related note, before this last presidential debate, I found exactly the right dose to quell that awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. It was not, however, high enough to keep me from shouting SHUT THE gently caress UP at my TV. Maybe next time!

At least one shop here has "shots" to add to any drink. That might be better if that's the application you're looking for. I know I wouldn't waste my oil spray (which I really like) in a drink when I can easily put it under my tongue as directed. Edit: Ours is called Fluresh Fast-Acting Drink Enhancer. 5 mg each THC/CBD or 10 mg THC per half-teaspoon dose, looks like 20 doses per bottle. I tried a 1:2 gummy with 5 mg THC and 10 mg CBD. I hadn't seen one with the ratio tilted in that direction before. It seemed to last a lot longer than my usual 2.5 mg 1:1 variety, which I suppose it would--but also longer than 5 mg of THC-only spray: from taking the gummy at about 4:30 to falling fast asleep near midnight and sleeping like a drat log straight through to 7 this morning. I wouldn't say I was especially productive during that time, so it's best saved for a lazy day (at least for me).
