Figured we oughta have a separate thread for this so it doesn't clog up the ~~foodchat~~ N/V thread.

Anyway, preseason is almost over, which means it's time for a bunch of poor scrubs to get their walking papers soon. Here's the schedule for roster cut deadlines.

Deadline to cut to 75: Tuesday, 4 p.m. ET
Deadline to cut to 53: September 3, 4 p.m. ET
Deadline to name practice squad: September 4

Some interesting cuts so far. Wreh-Wilson's already gone from the titans, huh? Can't say I watched that many titans games the last couple years, was he that horrible that you'd cut him after his rookie contract?

I've kinda stopped following him when he left the Ravens, but I thought he was still pretty good for the Browns? What happened? He's only 30

Under Horton he had like 4.5 sacks, then 11 the year after. It's stupid to keep paying them starter money when Kruger is pretty much at his peak and Mingo has never developed in 3 years. If this results in us finally trying to draft some real pass rushers, I'm very behind it.

He looked fine last year, but the Patriots play a 2 gap system while he's a good 1 gap guy. He apparently got beaten out by numerous UDFA's and didn't play in the 3rd preseason game.

I watched the Saints Seahawks game from 2013 over the weekend. It was amazing listening to the announcer's fellating Rob Ryan's defense. "He didn't get to implement the 3-4 he wanted due to injuries, but look how well he does with hybrid schemes and personnel packages! Next season this team is going to be something"
