The Vikings apparently put Michael Griffin on IR instead of releasing him. Unless it was the IR-designated-to-return, I don't understand that move considering he's on a one-year deal and could just get an injury settlement.

You just pick one guy who's healthy and take him off IR now. So yeah, they probably hope to get him back this year.

The only real surprise is Manny Lawson, but apparently he's facing a possible suspension and they really like this Bryson Albright guy. Jerome Felton is only one year into a four-year deal, but he played pretty bad last year and ended up losing his job to Baby Gronk. We just signed Kroy Biermann like a month ago, and now we're cutting him.  Dez Lewis looked great at mini-camp, but hasn't shown much since. WR is packed with mediocrities, so it's not surprising he didn't make the cut. Great potential, very raw. Likely PS candidate. And Cyril Richardson is loving awful and it's a testament to how bad our guard depth was that he lasted this long.

Rush was on the PS last year; he's still abysmal against the run, so I can kind of understand why they think he needs more development time.
