Sugimura -Up until that point in the series you couldn’t converse with your party members, so when you selected the “Talk” command when facing a direction that no one in particular was standing in, it would just display, “There’s no one there.” I remember that we discussed changing that because it was kind of sad when that happened. lol

the pop in is really bad and theres some anyone slowdown during the camera moves during fights . not a huge deal because it's dragon quest and not devil may cry 3 or whatever but still a little annoying. hopefully not so bad in dq8. the music is really good tho and the actual enemies look cute. AND the translation is really good so far iirc the orginial dq7 [i didn't play very far] had kind of a slipshod translation that didn't have much charm or personality like ff7's

the slowdown is apparently only in the English version, something with how the text is rendered. Possible the 3ds has the wrong kind of RAM for the font kerning they used LMFAO!!!!!!!! it may get patched

It's the scope of DQVII which might be one of the most JRPGs ever made melded with the aesthetic of DQVIII + a job system. The only thing I wish it had was tension system because I really liked that in 8 but I bet it probably wouldn't work with a job system.

euum the original dq7 had a job system

do you keep your skills from monster classes or do u lose em? might try makin gramps like a healslime chimera combo he has high wisdom [spellz], instead of the normal classes

Monster classes keep your spells even if you change yeah, but just so you know the only thing wisdom does in this game is decrease damage taken by enemy spells, it doesn't actually affect your spell casting ability, those are just flat calculations based on the spell
