Focus on Padme, Leia, Jyn, Rey, Ashoka, Sabine, and Hera. 8 total episodes, they will air on cable in the fall as 2 specials. Looks a bit flat (from what is seen) should have handed it off to Disney to animate it. Also, spoilers: "Perhaps most intriguing to movie fans will be the story set on the Ewok moon of Endor from Return of the Jedi. Although plot details are under wraps, Hera Syndulla from Rebels and Princess Leia team up for an adventure with Han Solo – and lots of little furballs carrying primitive weapons." Edit:

Counterpoint: The Nu-canon comics are almost all just as bad as old EU canon stuff. I haven't read many but have read the basic plots of a bunch and they seem pretty bad. I could see them burning the season off quickly with double episodes if they want to sell dvds of the show for christmas... Still seems odd though, could have started airing the show last month if that was the case.
