Old canon had a pretty similar explanation with those shown earlier than Endor being 'R-22 Spearheads'. Both dumb, but I at least kind of like the new explanation better.  e: Like both could have had the answer, they just weren't at Yavin or Hoth. Blowing up a star destroyer is one of the most damaging things this band of rebels has actually achieved though? I mean, other than sabotaging a factory, stealing poo poo and broadcasting some rebel propaganda, what have they really accomplished? Wait, I guess they also blew up an interdictor.

Yeah it was a mistake leaving Lothal at all. I want a show just about rebels being rebels. The Onderon arc in TCW was great, Empire day was great, whenever they've gone back to Lothal it's been great. I still like the show, but I do wish it were the Jedi loving off, not Sabine.

True. I think my problems more with the Jedi if anything. I just want a show about Rebels doing rebel things though. You'd still miss Morriban with that, but somewhere along the way regular people have to be shown to be able to do poo poo.

Yeah I really don't see how it's that confusing, but I do think the show could have done a lot more with friction between rebel groups. You get some of it with Saw in both rebels and Rogue One, but nothing bigger than that. Would have been neat to have the alliance be more of a 'United Front' than all groups that are perfectly ideologically homogenous.
