I mean, KOTOR 2 makes that exact critique of the Jedi themselves.

It's a pity he looks like an angry duck through the whole series though.

Aces High posted:If that's the case where was the Ghost in the DS2 battle over Endor? If you didn't see the new Battlefront 2 is using the immediate aftermath of Endor as its story, so that's pretty neat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kae-JjbLsgA

But can you imagine if the original trilogy had shown women in combat situations? So unrealistic! Like the real criticism should be that they're whitewashing the Empire's misogyny.

Also just noticed in the Battlefront 2 trailer a tiny probe droid one of the inquisitors used is in it.

It's a doctrinal approach that shouldn't be invented until the battle of Yavin!

I liked Iron Squadron, because it was essentially a, 'remember how annoying everyone was in season 1?' episode.

Also you should just skip all the Padme episodes. I don't think there was a single one that was enjoyable. Which is a pity.

Test Pattern posted:It's a legitimately good choice. People complain, simultaneously, about everything revolving around the main characters and every background character having a whole convoluted backstory. Making one of the troopers on Endor Rex gives secondary characters a through-line in the story and makes Star Wars more than just an intra-family spat. tbf the other complaint is that the universe is a thimble and we get stupid poo poo like C-3P0 being built by Anakin. Sometimes a bearded guy can just be a bearded guy. But I do like that it's Rex.

I'd start with the fact he thinks scenes with Chopper attempting to murder people is just cute kiddy stuff that is apparently tonally inconsistent with another character successfully murdering the same person a scene or two later, or the fact that a massive empire having trouble dealing with small insurgent groups apparently strains his credulity. Actually my favourite part was him saying that a show like this needs to be able to write for two audiences, kids and older viewers. Then explain that Sabine is a lovely 2 dimensional Mary Sue character that young girls inexplicably like more than Hera, a more well developed and down-to-Earth character. Perhaps they might be written for two different audiences? WhiskeyWhiskers fucked around with this message at 19:34 on Jul 30, 2017 |
