Well, my knowledge of Ghost Rider being the Nic Cage movies, I always thought he killed people with either staring or fire to the point that there's only ash left. Him dragging that dude off and then there being a splatter of blood on the other guy's face like he just jumped in a puddle certainly was a surprise.

Random question, but are there any goons currently watching SHIELD, but who dropped it back in Season 1, and picked it up again after it got really good?

It just seems to me that main viewership stories like that are of people never being convinced to come back to the show, or picking up a random episode and deeming it not particularly better than the original show.

(That or Ward fangirls mourning their loss and hating the show).

I only ask because I'm always surprised that this show is losing viewers, when it's consistently good and fun, and easily the best superhero show out there to boot. (Certainly non-Netflix edition, though Gotham will probably always have my heart). I'm pretty sad that the show probably won't make it to season 5, or that Season 5 will probably be a shortened half season. The ratings are toilet-y.

I just watched it straight through, totally oblivious to the fact that season 1 was bad and it was only once I got to the second season that I did realize how much better it was.

I can't blame people for not being convinced to go back to the show. I can't have watched more than 5 episodes of Supergirl and I still won't look at any more of it.

That's wrong. They are science ghosts.

If they were just regular ghosts no different than any other ghosts, that means that there would be a lot of ghosts around stretching back centuries or millennia. Robbie Reyes would be seeing a LOT of ghosts around, all the time. Instead we had what, four to six ghosts, all of which share a common origin, the strange scientific experiment. They were contained inside containers which are not empty, but have strange components. Fitz cannot understand how those work at the moment, but he can detect them. These ghosts are visible on electronic cameras and to the naked eye by regular people and can communicate with regular people. These ghosts can inflict psychosis on contact, which can be cured with a chemical created using science. The motives of these ghosts are not to haunt the living or places where they died or even really to get revenge, but to find a way to reverse their condition.

Sufficiently analyzed magic is indistinguishable from science!

AoS is a better-written and better-plotted show than either Arrow or the Flash (haven't seen Legends, never will). That much is basically inarguable. The AoS writers clearly lay their plots out in advance and are thus able to hint and foreshadow and carefully plan the journey to their endgame, whereas Flash and Arrow are very obviously just making poo poo up as they go along. Again, that's not even something that is up for debate-- the DCTV writers have basically admitted that they are flying by the seat of their pants most of the time.

EDIT: Note that this isn't a complaint necessarily. I generally like both Flash and Arrow but it is sometimes painfully clear that they aren't operating according to any sort of plan and are just sort of going with whatever.

I feel like the Reverse Flash arc was totally planned.

I don't even understand Yo-yo's power at all. I thought it just worked on the basis that you have a start point and then a set distance you're allowed to move from that initial point before you have to return to it because of her own limits in how long she can move at that speed. Which would mean that doing poo poo like going around corners would be an issue but doing things in a-not-perfectly straight line and kind of moving back and forth from wall to wall in a room could be possible.

But I dunno. I don't really think she's turned into a generic speed character since I can't remember her vibrating one part of her body to dismantle something.

In all seriousness it would be cool if Coulson hooked him up with the same tech they're using to make War Machine walk and kept him around.

I really hope they do some kind of cool twist to it we're not expecting. Like the guy she killed was actually a body snatcher, and the reason she's doing this is SHIELD is already infiltrated and it's the only course of action or something.

It'll probably just be that she's malfunctioning and trying to spare the agents pain by locking them in cells while the drones do the work (since every AI in Marvel seems to end up evil) but it'd be way more interesting to me if there's more going on than what we all expect.

This show's done it before, so I hold out some hope.

I think Vijay's probably the Inhuman equivalent of Darwin. His power seems to be tied to his life being threatened; until that guy pulled a gun on him, he didn't seem to have any powers at all, whereas most other Inhumans have really obvious powers that they have a hard time controlling at first. He didn't seem to be fully aware of himself during the fight, either, operating more or less on pure instinct until his sister snapped him out of it. So I think his superpower is basically just "survive." He couldn't do anything about his sister's bullet because he didn't see it coming, so instead his powers just shoved him into a regenerative cocoon as soon as he was away from her.
