So clearly, just get Rachel Bloom to pen the songs and direct it. I'd be down with this.

Seriously, all Original songs and just say... Mxy's doing it. Their rendition of Music Meister is basically Mxy in all but name.

Yea, god forbid one might want to find Wally's antics annoying. First helper syndrome to the max and then the entitlement as gently caress in regards to wanting to become a speedster. You'd think that someone initially portrayed as an ingenious engineer would have a bit of common sense of not putting himself in extremely dangerous situations and generally not being mopey about things turn out to be. E.g. the running into traffic based on Jessy's anecdote.

Then again, people keep making fun of the writers, so I guess that argument is redundant.

You'd be shocked at how dumb engineers are. Ingenious ones even more so

Journalist is such a great ally for a superhero to have. Like, it makes so much sense, she could be tracking down bad guys and finding clues to evil conspiracies. But instead Cisco did a thing on a computer so now they have perfect instant facial recognition cameras throughout the whole city so they never need to to track anyone down. And, not to be mean, but I don't think the Flash writers are clever enough to write a conspiracy plot. So yeah, her only role on the show is being the necessary emotional support to keep stupid Barry from running into a wall or turning into a supervillain.

Journalist was great before the age of the internet since those were the types of people in the know about the goings on around town and could generally go into most places and had an interest in places they were barred from. Nowadays, however, everyone has a cell phone and there's CCTV everywhere so anything that doesn't involve literally being at the scene can now be done by a hacker/programmer sort (I forget what type of Engineer Cisco is, though; Mechanical like Ronnie maybe?). So the journalist thing is mostly retained out of tradition rather than utility.

Hah, really? They should've just gone with it.

:psyduck: There's more to journalism than just going places and flashing your press pass. I mean at the very least everyone else on Team Flash except Joe is a STEM specialist and should have little to no practical experience in non-academic avenues of investigation or building a network of contacts and tipsters in diverse areas of interest. Joe and Iris both should be bringing more to the table than different flavors of moral support 95% of the time.

But also this particularly inane blend of comic book science and CSI Miami poo poo.

When has team Flash ever used a network of contacts and tipsters in diverse areas of interest that wasn't science related?

Fwiw, Arrow also a person who's capable of said technomancy but Ollie still had to go out and beat some thugs for info from time to time.

I like how Barry Allen was fast enough to catch a bullet that was fired at his neck out of the air in season 1, but a super charged, "so fast I need a suit to not vibrate apart" Savitar Allen can start running towards Barry and Iris can shoot him in the back with the bullet 1) catching up to him and 2) killing him.

SPEED FORCE

I'm sure someone could do or has done the math on this.

Plastic Man also has the more extensive powerset than EM. EM has a powerset that's a bit more like Reed Richards, but maybe just a little less dynamic. Plastic Man more resembles Rubber Band Man from the Static Shock cartoons in that he can alter his appearance and form (but not his color scheme or texture) to just about anything.

The depictions as to the extent of their abilities do vary, but at peak depictions, EM never got all that much further than Plastic Man while Plastic Man rivaled most A-listers in how durable he was to the point of near invincibility due to his extremely ductile nature and the ability to regenerate, invulnerable to telepathy, and possibly immortal. His only weaknesses are certain chemicals and extreme temperatures which affect him like how one would affect silly putty.

Didn't they make Plastic Man super powerful recently or am I remembering wrong?

Plastic Man suffered a lot from power creep. At some point in the 90s or 00s, he was depicted as nigh invulnerable and could regenerate among other tricks. He could even reassemble himself if torn to pieces and didn't seem to age. His most recent appearance was under super secure lock and key under Batman's watch as a sort of secret weapon

The nature of this incarceration hasn't been revealed.

So the crossover this year is just everyone in a big battle royal for 2 nights.

Even better: It's beating up Nazis for 4 hours.

I'd imagine it's basically: everyone's recruited by The Ray to help the Freedom Fighters liberate Nazi Earth and fight the Nazi doppelgangers of the big heroes of each series. The End.

I'm also not a fan of Zari being referred to by name, but given that the alternative was Isis, I can understand.
