Maybe another remnant is created, runs real fast, and disintegrates into the speed force. He says he's "trapped" and goes insane, then becomes Savitar and creates/forges most of the alchemist's stone. Then he sees a ripple in time or whatever from flashpoint, uses that to latch onto Julian, an anomaly, and tunnels into his head. At that point he is eventually freed when Wally throws the last part in. Of course, the trapped in 2021 thing still has to make it in.

I bet the Speed Force has a couple more Thawne copies in eternal prisons or just lounging on a beach made of speed force or something. I wouldn't worry about not seeing him for more than a season, if that.

This is literally no way he becomes a villain. His redemption arc took all of 10 minutes and I can't see any reason they could come up with the make him a bad guy again.

I like how Barry Allen was fast enough to catch a bullet that was fired at his neck out of the air in season 1, but a super charged, "so fast I need a suit to not vibrate apart" Savitar Allen can start running towards Barry and Iris can shoot him in the back with the bullet 1) catching up to him and 2) killing him. SPEED FORCE
