I've met at least three people who said voyager was the best Star Trek, some of whom when pressed said it was because the captain was a woman, so I support his endeavors in providing another perspective

Voyager is absolute thoughtless dreck but honestly thats exactly what some people want. It is a shame that the only woman captain in the entire series was basically an insane sociopath leading a ship of boring incompetent idiots.

So unless The Atlantic are insufferable internet nerds now.

And like every Star Wars fan this film was made for has complained about the CGI characters. They're some of the biggest talking heads who are pushing the movie on social media, and the very best I've seen from them is generally saying that one or the other of the appearances was "fine" but never both.

Sometimes things are just poo poo. And it doesn't make your penis any bigger if you say that the people calling out the bullshit are (insert stereotype about male internet users).

As one must always point out in CineD, yes it's okay if you liked the thing. Just because the thing was terrible and basically everybody hated the thing, doesn't mean that we're saying you're not allowed to like the thing. We're just saying that's a bad opinion to have.

That's a great trailer from NVIDIA to showcase their new graphics card and I'm sure it'll look great in the new animated series on Cartoon Network. But what did they use in the actual movie?

Why should I listen to a guy who posts in CineD? I want a one thousand word response with article references and quotations thankyou.

It's definitely a "Star Wars" something but the only adjective that should be applied to the "movie" part is "bad."

If you like Star Wars poo poo to the point where you enjoy making up your own backstory ideas to filling in the gaping holes and like reading between imaginary lines that aren't actually told or shown then I guess it's entertaining for you. And if that's the case, great! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was made for you, and that's awesome.

As a movie made for the general moviegoing audience it's just plain bad. None of the things that people actually enjoy about good movies or even *good stories* are there. And gently caress if I'm going to make up backstories and justify these non-characters. I don't care about Star Wars at all, so there was absolutely nothing there to grab me. That's why the whole first 2/3s were boring as gently caress, and the end only perked up because some poo poo was actually happening, even though it was absurd video game switch-pulling nonsense.

I mean, I go to watch these Star Wars movies more out of a sense of cultural obligation (everyone is going to be talking about them for a month so I should be informed), and I'm losing any hope that any of them might actually be an enjoyable experience for me.

The general movie going people have said its generally good though? Perhaps the issue is YOU mr internet reviewer man.

Look idiot, if you specifically take time out in your piece of poo poo movie to have a big glowly celebration ball that is the centre of the entire scene then it might help to explain what the gently caress it means even if its basic as gently caress.
