SA's overhead is also a fraction of 4chan's - I don't have exact numbers, but 4chan does way more stuff than we do. Even most images posted on SA are hosted offsite from places like Imgur or Tumblr.

I also have doubts about the sustainability of a super ad-focused model like 4chan's. It's increasingly tough to make money on ads. SA's userbase is much smaller, but also a lot more inclined to spend money on the site.

Nobody thinks that what Clinton did was okay, and everyone here is very aware of questions of consent when it comes to that kind of power dynamic. But something that is worth considering, not as a defense of Clinton but on Lewinski's side: Lewinski has said that she feels it was consensual, and that she made the decision. I think it's important not to take her agency away, power dynamics or not. Lewinski obviously wants to lay claim to some level of responsibility for - and therefore control over - the situation, and she has the right to do so. She doesn't feel like she was helpless or victimized, and I don't think we should push that onto her if she doesn't want it.
