So what is Tim Kaine's thing anyways? All I know about him is that he did a terrible impression of Trump, and he's supposed to fight off Mike Pence at tomorrow night's debate. Is he even close to presidential material if Hilary somehow got impeached (unlikely but still should cover bases)?

Too bad Ted Kennedy was too much of a dickbag to save his aid from drowning.

My father believes that Hilary is super crooked, to the point that her only redeeming quality is that she's sane. In contrast to Bill, he says that the more he reads on Hilary the less he likes/trusts her. He says he has problems morally with standing behind a 'crook' leading America, the lesser of two evils. He thinks that Hilary royally screwed up in Benghazi; I do too, but to a lesser extent (which shall be left up to the 2012 veterans to interpret for me). While I see 20-30 years of liberal policies kicking rear end in America and abroad getting a head start thanks to Hilary's expected victory, my father only sees skepticism and cynicism about this 'rotten' wife of Bill Clinton, his favorite living president.

Is it possible to dissuade him from his cynicism, or to properly counterpoint his skepticism?

My family never gave a dime to these people, because of the massive civil war that they had no idea was against us, against my brother, against his struggle to have any meaningful life. And the fools have won. The ones who hijacked the cause to celebrate their awkward child, ignoring the men and women who actually can't go out in the workplace, who can't have conversations, who can't answer yes/no questions, who smack you on the shoulder out of frustration because they're trying desperately to be heard, seen, acknowledged.

The autism civil war is over, and the spectrum has won. No one is coming to save us. No group is fighting for the cause of the disabled non-verbal. And the side who would be most sympathetic to this othering, to this final acknowledgment that profit means more than help, is to celebrate. Or, in the case of that quote in the end, shift the goalposts and say even THIS is not enough.

My so-called allies spit on my family. I guess we can keep laughing at Republicans and evangelicals and Ken Bone and that, but I'm telling you today that the white moderate is just as uncaring about a wide swath of causes, not just racial ones. And gfsincere if you take umbrage with that thought, I understand, and I acknowledge it, but let me tell you something: this morning, I'm jealous of you. Because at least you have a movement.

loving hell.
I'm trying to start a correspondence with Autism Speaks, and have been for the last month, in order to be a spectrum advocate and spokesman for Hilary's mental healthcare reforms next year. I have yet to get a reply since 3 weeks ago.

Quick question about neoliberal power: Has the influence of the IMF and/or World Bank been increasing or decreasing since the Great Recession? Because from what I've read they're the reason many developing nations today can't go the democratic-socialist route (like Greece or Venezuela) and instead get royally screwed beyond economic recognition.

I don't know if the GOP will be able to "fix" itself by 2024, but they might be able to dogwhistle at just the right volume to get a comparatively sane candidate (that is, compared to Donald Trump and hypothetical Ted Nugent). That could combine with Democrats nominating a "meh" nominee and the American public, having not experienced a Republican administration for over a decade and a half, forgetting how terrible one would actually be.
A drat good documentary/Biopic akin to W or something else revolving around the Bush Administration around 2024 could help remedy that. It's borderline propaganda but I'd take it over Cheney's fabricated claims on Iraq any day.

Quick Question:

Some Discussion of SJWs on Reddit posted:

I don't know the profile, but I can confidently predict this much:
Few to none of them have ever experienced real hardship, real pain, or real loss.
Noone who has watched a loved one murdered in front of them complains about so-called misogyny in videogames. Noone who has wandered the streets wondering where their next meal or bed will come from gives a gently caress about personal pronouns. People running and in genuine fear for their lives don't pay the slightest attention to loving twitter.
Every word and deed from these SJW twits betrays how cushy a life they've led, to where being mocked for their choice of lip gloss is oppression, or being told to lose weight is PTSD-causing. They are a symptom of a society so devoid of genuine hardship that they've crawled up their own assholes, with so much free time that they can inflict whatever twisted nonsense they conjure up on other people and confidently proclaim it as The Truth™.

More Reddit posted:

I think that's true, but even the issue of normal human stuff is beyond them. They're obviously fairly rich, as I've yet to see any mention of mundane jobs, working through college, jobs after graduation, or student loans. Most middle class or below students have at least a passing understanding of this kind of thing. They also don't seem to have empathy for the issues faced by the poor. They don't seem to get that access to college and education is more important than white people touching black hair (I get that the second is a bad thing), or that families are building college funds on the whites who eat at their ethnic restaurants. They aren't being appropriated by whites eating Dim Sum, honestly, it's how they're transferring wealth from white communities to chinese communities. Same with the tacos. That's how hispanics get white people's money. Bosnians in my town have reastaurants, and that's the community college fund. Bosnian kids work at the restaurant wages and tips and so on to help pay for college. What people want most of all is an economic future, and while all the other stuff is nice, if given the choice even between hard core insults and a decent job, or a poor future with zero microagressions, most would choose the economic future, because end of the day, it's hard to eat equality. Mac and Cheese on the other hand ... delicious.
Does this sound by any means accurate?
