That song just doesn't have the same feel to it in Skyrim because you can't grapple on to dragons and be flown into the sky only to stab them again and fall down to earth on them. And then do it again.

I cared about Dragon's Dogma enough to make this series of videos.  Shameless self promotion.But we do not know your experience with it and I am suspecting you got hit the same way a lot of other people did with how weak you start off and how quickly you get surrounded and killed for it. Not gonna speculate beyond that, because there are a thousand reasons why DD can be enjoyable.

It's a stretch but out of optimism I'd say it references, somewhat, Big O, and whatever else used that as some kind of plot tech, like DX:Human Revolution. In Big O, Dorothy was wired into a giant robot, and one later character, another android, had himself fused to a giant robot as well. That mech is badass looking though.
