November is here and it is time for a new thread. Some important things to remember about November:  Remembrance Day when we remember those who sacrificed themselves for freedom from tyranny and oppression.  Guy Fawkes Night when we remember some dude tried blow up a bunch of British politicians. Or as you yanks call it, 5th November (just another day)  Yankee Voting day. When we remember that America is a democracy and it can try return itself to some kind of sanity after having to chose between a fascist and a qualified candidate. I hate the latest epic rap battle of history because despite doing a great Trump in their Scrooge Christmas special, this time they just did him as some kind of pure evil monster dedicated 100% to racism and misogyny. I think President Trump would be horrible and an awful reality to live in, but I think he's mostly just a dumbass who didn't expect to get this far and now wants to win out of ego.

Fair enough. I'm not as clued-in about American politics but I'm reluctant to count chickens before they hatch.  One thing I have been a bit surprised by as an outside observer is that nobody seems to have been making much of Clinton potentially being America's first female president. I would have thought that would have invited more commentary. I suppose it's because Clinton has been involved in politics for a long time, so she doesn't seem as "fresh" as Obama did when he won.
