Just an incredible review of The Muppet Christmas Carol I found on letterboxd that really seems like it deserves some larger exposure

I especially like the fact that it's a game I've not heard of, but seems to have incredibly good reviews. So to call it the Citizen Kane of gaming might not be far off the mark.

Something they should add to Letterboxd is a lookup of lists (maybe just popular ones or ones that at least meet a set criteria) that you've either 100%ed or are close to. Like you might've watched 80% of a directors work without even realizing it, which could be useful.

I also would like to see an option to add some text to specify why I put something on my watchlist. Half of the time I just can't remember why I wanted to see a particular film at all.

I'd love if they implemented something similar to ICheckMovies.com, where there's a curated set of 'official lists", such as TSPDT, IMDB top 250, etc.

I'm wondering why they don't have an immediate list generated of the Year In Review stuff alongside those? Seems like it'd be an easy hook into the platform to release alongside the article.

Is it just me or is the price jump from Pro to Patron pretty extreme? Pro is $19 per year and Patron is $49. As far as I can tell the only worthwhile difference is that with Patron you get the custom background image on your profile and lists.

I think calling it Patron is their way of saying its basically a donation. Like, hey if you enjoy this site then throw us a couple bucks because its pretty expensive to run.

Like I said, it's a weird movie. It's not great, it's not terrible, it's in this range of not-bad-I-guess that the weirdness keeps flexing the score.

Kinda related, I want to review pretty much every movie I watch over the year, and I really like the granularity of ratings. Usually these things kill my interest because I agonize over how to score it. Keeping it at five stars with half-stars keeps things a lot easier for me, as someone who can bitch about movies he loves and gush about movies he hates.

For the Favorite Films area I'm going to start using my four most recently seen 5-star movies. That should keep things interesting. Currently: Belladonna of Sadness, Hard to Be a God, Horror Express and The Naked Island.

That's a good idea. I'm going to do the same, but I might include 4.5 Star offerings just so there is a bit more turnover.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, I've seen that movie like 200 times because my brothers would watch it over and over and over and over again when they were kids, haha :P

Is there a way to see if a movie you are looking at is on multiple lists in your saved lists?

Basically I have a few lists with horror movies and I want to be able to see which movies are on the multiple lists I saved.

On a movie's page, if you scroll down to Popular Lists and click More, then click Everyone and change it to You, you'll see all of your lists in which the movie appears.

Hey folks, I need suggestions for a list: http://boxd.it/Xkhg

I'm in two minds about how strict I am on the criteria - Piranha 3DD should be eligible because it's a waterpark, but Piranha 3D might not be because it's an open body of water. If there's any similar flicks to add please let me know!

I'd been meaning to for a while, I've just been slammed with work and packing and crap.

I'm pretty sure it's a fairly complete list. There's actually a couple anime films I could have added but Letterboxd didn't recognize them.

I've trying to think up creative ideas for lists like that but I'm no good at it. All of my lists are basic poo poo like "best sci fi movies of all time" or "25 visually stunning films". Pretty obvious stuff.
