I just started my account a couple months ago so I'm still figuring out the rating system. I think I've given movies I didn't like too many stars and movies I really liked not enough stars. Oh well, I'll get the hang of it eventually.

I rewatched Heat the other night and that movie is incredible. I gave it 4.5 instead of 5, probably because it's not the type of movie I would rewatch anytime. 5 star movies (like Star Wars: A New Hope, Walk Hard, Jurassic Park, etc.) are movies that I can throw on whenever and have a blast with.

I feel really bad about my Top 2022 list because this was maybe the worst year for me on keeping up on new releases. I have been trying to watch more movies from the 1940s-1970s, and that's going to continue in the new year I think.

Top 5 of 2022 for me, right now, is Barbarian, NOPE, Avatar 2, Everything Everywhere, The Northman. Almost all of my new release watches were genre films, partially from the local indie theater's lineup, and partially from everything being VOD (I can't pay $20 for a single rental, folks).

Here's my 2022 stats:

My top 5 of the year were probably AmbuLAnce, The Banshees of Inisherin, Jackass Forever, The Northman and Top Gun: Maverick. Honorable mentions go to Crimes of the Future, Pearl, RRR, and We're All Going to the World's Fair.
