Diamonds are Forever had a Shirley Bassey theme song, and it's pretty much a rule that no Bond film with a Shirley Bassey song can be The Worst.

Roger Moore is the worst James Bond but that's because so many of his movies just kinda suck compared to other Bond movies so it's not really his fault.

The novel has Goldfinger literally trying to steal all the gold from Fort Knox. Someone pointed out that gold is actually really goddamn heavy and the robbery wasn't physically possible so it got changed to just dirty bombing Fort Knox.
