Is it true that organized play requires opaque backed sleeves? If so that's a bummer. I much prefer how clear sleeves look, and they're usually cheaper too.

People resleeve the cards for every deck they make?

guts and bolts posted:

A 2v2 format in this game seems like it could be super fun given the right rules, though.
We tried this a couple of days ago. The only rule change we made was to allow distribution of shields within the team, to make the game more co-operative. Otherwise we used the free-for-all rules, with the obvious exception that there is now one player you don't attack. I think it worked pretty well. Cool to have someone to discuss tactics with. Deciding who to focus on, requesting shields, or try to do some cool combo attacks. Obviously lasted much longer, but we were pretty engaged the whole time. Would play again.

Do people sleeve all their cards, or just the ones in their deck? Started sleeving all my cards, but now it's starting to add up in how much space they need. But resleeving all the time also seems like a hassle.

I only know one person other than me who plays this game, and he is exceptionally bad at it. I don't think he's won a single time. Despite these dire circumstances, I can't shake the urge to buy more boosters. Luckily it's fun just to browse cards and create decks. But man, I'd kill for a some more people to play/trade with.

All info about their streams are here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2017/5/5/watch-the-champions-rise/. Destiny starts in 50 minutes if my time zone calculations are on point.

Pretty insane ability as well. Can kill a character with 3 shields. Couple him with Vibroknife for lots of fun.

I have a bunch of cards from the first two sets (Awakening and Spirit of Rebellion?), and me and a friend are getting back into the game to join an upcoming regional. How’s the power level these days? Any particular meta-stuff need to builld for? And I assume the latest set is the strongest one?

The game seems to be having a small resurgence in our community as well. Seems there is some hype brewing with the impending release of Convergence. Team Covenant have been putting out tons of videos showing of some of the new cards in play. Many of us are excited about the game having its first ever rotation. In general, people seem to think that the second cycle being much better designed than the first one. So now we will get rid of the underpowered characters and broken event cards from the first sets, and have a game that's better than ever, mechanically speaking. Seems to be a great point to jump [back] in.
