In the famous "Summer Nights" song scene there's a very noticable lonely guy lost in his thoughts behind Olivia Newton-John:  A second later there's a little less noticable lonely girl lost in thoughts on the bench behind John Travolta's group:  Pretty symbolic. Then there is a guy in the courtyard randomly 'playing paddleball', if you know what I mean:  This girl and her banana:   This is just the tip of the iceberg. all paddleball scenes in movies are a reference to the misfits in which some guy gropes marilyn monroe while she plays paddleball in the worlds most crowded saloon which i presume made people very horney in 1936 or whenever the hell it was that movie came out
